ES Shipbrokers

Challenge

Enrico Scolaro Shipbrokers is a shipbroking company active since 1976. They needed a refreshing online look, able to reflect how their method has changed by adjusting every time depending on the specifically required needs for the maximum support for their client. Visualizing how they face each project was not an easy task. We needed to come up with a visual way to show an abstract process.

Result

First, we focused on the branding, by understanding what they do and their problems. Then, we created a custom 6 pages brand book which narrows down all the basic brand guidelines: a new set of brand rules based on their values. On the website we designed a simple page which was aimed to communicate their services at first sight.

Timeline: 2 weeks (design only)

Collaborations: freelance strategist, software development company

Platforms: Wordpress

Tools: Adobe XD, Illustrator

Process

  1. Branding

The brand book was meant to be short and functional. This gives insights on how to use the logo, its symbol, the chosen typography, spaces and dimensions, colours and backgrounds.

  1. Wireframing and prototyping

Mobile first design, I took care of the entire design process and the following handoff phase. Although the web page was pretty simple, I had to focus on the services section interactions, as it required some visualization adjustments on both mobile and desktop views.
